i was thinking to save money instead of buying high powered subs and amps and speakers i could just get a PA system and get an inverter for it. Im not sure if there are inverters that can support this or even how much load it would use. i wouldn't need an amp because the PA system has one. this would also be nice because i could hook up guitars and mikes to it also because i will still have the mixer in the car. would this even be possible and if so how would i go about doing it. i already have some ideas but if anyone has some expertese on this subject please i need all the help i can get

You could - but why? It would sound like crap. you could get inverters, but depending upon what kind of load you were talking about (I have a PA amp that is 1,600 watts) - you would need like 20 truck batteries to run the thing for more than 20 seconds. your car's alternator wouldn't charge batteries that size or quantity, so you would need to hook it up to a charger and night and dim the lights in your neighborhood (or cause a meltdown at the local nuke plant).
All kidding aside, if you look at the number of batteries necessary to run some of the "show car" audio systems (and those are made up of high end components that sound great) you will get an idea of what it would take to drive the immense magnets in PA type speakers.
Best advice if you really want to do this, go to the local customer car audio shop - ask to see their demo car, and get advice from them on load, amperage, inverters, etc. No way to give you all those instructions in this space, dude.

Pa System For Car

You can certainly do what you have set forward. I used a similar setup in the 70's for playing music outdoors from my car stereo.

The setup is very straight forward, just like any PA install. Inverters are available to handle the power needs however, you may need a second battery in order to maintain enough power and still be able to crank the car.

If you put in a second battery, you need a dual charging system to keep it performing properly. Most auto parts stores have these sytem available for order. RV's use these sytems.

I had a customer not long ago who bought a car amp and a PA speaker to have it installed UNDER THE HOOD of his car and connected to his stereo.

Haha!

PA speakers don't have the range of frequency to reproduce music very well---just go to any auto dealer and listen to the music coming over the loadspeaker system and bear in mind, they're 20 feet in the air.

Please, just think about what you said you're about to do and how it will affect other people. Also find out if somebody complains to the cops how much trouble it will be for you. In my town it is illegal. You might have fun yelling stuff at people and somebody might have fun ratting you out. Save it for emergencies, beach parties or halloween.

Yes, you could do that - once. Then you would be deaf or maybe even dead. A couple of thousand watts at effectively zero range CAN be fatal.
