yes definaetly! rats love it and it doesnt have as many carbs as alfalfa.

I doubt your rat will want to eat it, but may enjoy chewing it. Rats stomach is not made to take in too much fiber, in fact, they can't digest alfalfa. Rats may enjoy it as a bedding as well.
