Not unless one of them was Scottish. Mind you they used to play American Pie at weddings here in Scotland years ago (especially in the 70's or 80's). Do you think that was appropriate?

why not?! it's your wedding, so play whatever songs you want!

btw, if you plan on bagpipers, you should expect to hear scotland the brave...it is the most commonly played song on a bagpipe! that and amazing grace. which makes sense since the bagpipes are scottish.........

I agree, I would also suggest to stick with the Irish theme so as not to offend anyone.

I'm sure you'll find the perfect thing, there are some really pretty ones out there.

I don't think so. To be safe, stick to old Irish tunes. The Scots and the Irish are very nationalistic peoples.
