Here's one. Also try to find some scholarships through your guidance counselor.

If you are an outstanding student-athlete, scholarships come with being recruited. Beyond that, most people vastly overestimate the number of scholarships available. I read recently that fewer than 2% of college students receive scholarships. If you are a really outstanding student, the schools to which you apply will look at you for whichever scholarships they give out (my school gives out about 11 or 12 full scholarships/year out of a class of about 1500 for academics. They do give out about 30 partial scholarships, and there are some which are specific to the individual disciplines). Otherwise, most students get by on a combination of loans, grants (if they are from low income backgrounds), and work.

Your best bet would be to check with your conselers at school or if you have a college center. I have seen that people are a lot more likely to win local scholarships, there are plenty of them out there. The next step would be to the financial aid office for the school in which you are planning to go to. You want to look early on because the deadline will be a few months before you finish school. The school should offer a good variety of scholarships.

Instead of asking someone else to pay for it and getting a free ride, why don't you take out a loan, pay for it yourself and go to a college that is more affordable. Student loans make for excellent credit later and teach responsibility.

Ask your academic counselor at high school.

After you choose a university, they will also be able to help you.
