I think the hair loss may be a side effect of the dermatitis - I had small chunks missing from my hair at one time! If so, they will all grow back.
1] what are you using to wash your hair? Usually, once you get seborrheic dermatitis it comes and goes, there isn't really a cure.
2] buy some Neutrogena TSal shampoo, and use at least once a week [ the CVS generic stuff is just as good - same ingredients ]
3] buy a gentle shampoo/conditioner - like Pantene -
formulated for oily hair.
4] Massage scalp first, to loosen up any flakes, then comb hair.
5] lather, scrub head well, and rinse. Repeat, until every time the first lather sudses up really well - that means you've gotten rid of all the residue in your hair.
6] scrub all combs, brushes, etc.
7] don't use any other product on your hair for about a week.
8] one night a week, treat any seborrheic 'patches' on your head with cortisone cream or ointment applied to hair right after washing - rub in well, and leave on overnight
9] in AM or next PM, wash with the TSal formula.
ALSO:
take a good multivitamin with minerals every day - makes a big difference in skin and scalp
Drink 1/2 gallon of water a day

To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
