I'm 14 1/2, and a freshman.

I asked a question about a guy named Nic a few weeks ago.

He doesn't flirt like he used to in the beginning, now he's taking it slow. When we go to lunch (in the middle of class), (he sits next to me), he gets up, and I get up too, and I follow him (not intentionally), and I notices that he like looks back over his shoulder whenever I walk behind him. He also does this thing to my best friend, (their last names are close to each other's); she opens her locker and he closes it with his foot. She told me that she notices that he only does it when I'm there waiting for her to walk with her to our next class. I'm making him laugh, and smile, which is a good thing. My bff is telling me to take it slow, and not to rush into things. I was thinking of giving him my number, or asking for his, but she said wait a few weeks. She also said that guys like the chase.

How exactly should I take it slow, but let him know that I'm still interested? I really like this guy..

I would say he probably knows you like him, as you sit together at lunch. How do your parents feel about you calling or getting calls from a boy? At your age nothing much makes sense, and you should probably find out from your mom or dad how they think about boys and act accordingly. Guys like to chase what they think they can catch.. You will have several boy friends by the time you get old enough to date, and for your own safety, don't get all that wound up about a guy right now. You need time and experience to know yourself and that should be your first priority as your going to be a much different person in just a couple years.
