Elephants eat 800 lbs. of food per day

Apes eat 250 pounds per day.

The Ark was sealed shut.

That much food is also going to create at least an additional 75% of that volume in waste matter.

How many species of animal are on the planet?

(the same amount as was then...there has not been enough time for ANY new species to evolve since then...it takes tems if not hundreds of thousands of years.

...and how much combined food would they all have had to eat?

The story of Noahs ark is an absolute physical impossability.

..and If you tell me that God created a miraculous way for this to all occur....I say to you.

Then why didnt God save himself the trouble and just make all mankind hear his voice and be righteous....would have been alot simpler

Well, as I recall, it was only 40 days and 40 nights.. they could probably wait that long. The better question is what did they eat once they dissembarked. It takes months to restore after a flood... and with only two of every animal.. like where did the gazelle hide from the lions until the grass grew long enough to make babies and hide themselves? O' course I used to get whacked for asking these questions in school. I was told that this is a question of faith in the word not a question of fact... and then I got another whack so that I remembered not to ask my questions in front of the other children. Of course, getting a whack with a cane was a very effective religious tool. I have a good memory for the correct answer and which questions not to ask. What I don't get is... on that boat remained the only surviving people and they were one family... so why dont we all have like... two heads or sommat?

Neither man nor beast were carnivores before the flood. The Bible gives the original diets of man and beast before the flood. So carnivores were not a problem on the ark.

Genesis 1:29 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food"; and it was so.

After the flood God changed man's diet and gave him meat to eat. And at the same time instilled in the animals the fear of man. (That was only fair since they were now food.) Presumably at the same time the diet of some of the animals became carnivorous also.

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.
2 "The fear of you and the terror of you will be on every beast of the earth and on every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given.
3 "Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant."

A more interesting question: what did the carnivores eat the first years after the flood? If they had eaten just one of a kind, it would have gone extinct altogether.

Hahah, Noah's ark, what a silly story. Fish to feed the carnivores? They don't venture to the surface if it's raining!

And as for taking 7 animals of each kind, huh, the unpaired animal must explain homosexuality...

The bible says that Noah loaded the ark with animals in group of sevens, not by couples. The extra animals, perhaps served as food.

The flood waters were on the earth for over 1 year. Noah had 120 years to prepare the food and such for all the animals.

If you read the chapter on what God told them to take you will see they took more than pairs of some animals to feed the others.

‘You shall take with you every clean animal by sevens, the male and female. And take two of the animals that are not clean, the male and female. Also take of the birds of the air by sevens, the male and the female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.’ (Gen. 7:2–3)
