I love having an extra freezer, and man do we use it! My guy hunts duck, so we usually have a couple of those in there, plus I freeze a lot of our homemade tomatoes that I don't have time to can. I also make and freeze my own chicken stock, spaghetti sauce, meatballs..they all go in there. Aside from that, any other "spillover" from our regular freezer goes in there!

Well we have an old one that we don't use anymore, but we have a horse going to slaughter soon.
We went to Lowes, and went looking for a new one, we found a small one and were looking @ it with a sales rep, and when we looked @ the price we found that the "CAPACITY" was 1 person! The next sizes up were "CAPACITY" small family, then large family respectively! What is Jeffery Dhalmer looking for a new Freezer?

Mine is very well stocked. So well stocked that I never go in it.
Why empty it to get a bag of frozen beans at the bottom when I can buy them from the farmers' market and not get freezer burn.

I have 3 refridgerators, all with freezers and they are really well stocked. I have chicken in many varieties, pork loin, beef tenderloin, lamb, fish, roasts. Definately enough that I could feed my family for a couple of months......Don't own a deep freeze though.

Lots of meat. Hubby is a butcher. I wanted to freeze corn last year and ended up with 5 cases of pork roasts instead. Gotta buy when the price is right- then Freeze! Top shelf has frozen veggies and fruits, then the rest is pretty much meat.
The pork worked out well as he ground it for burgers and ground meat and sausage- Italian and breakfast, We also usually also end up with some elk.

We have a medium deep freezer in our garage. There's whole turkeys, leftover turkey meat, leftover chili and soups, fruits, veggies, edamame, fish, lobster, probably bread items, ice packs, and things that are buried. Ha.
