My skin has been itchy for the past few weeks and it's either due to a new puppy, a new lotion, or watermelon.

My husband is allergic to watermelon and avocado. His reaction is within 20 minutes of eating. Itchy skin isn't usually an inhaled allergen (like the puppy) but it is possible. Cut out the watermelon and go back to your old lotion. If you still have the itch, then it is probably the puppy. There is hope for keeping the puppy if that is the allergy. Read this link about Allerpet/D. Lots of my customers swear by this stuff. The link will tell you where in your area to find it. Good luck and lets hope its the lotion, because who wants a life without watermelon and puppies!

Considering it's itchy skin, the new lotion sounds like the most likely culprit. You CAN be allergic to watermelon--I know someone who is allergic to canteloupe. I just don't think a food allergy would be the most likely cause of itchy skin. Stop using the lotion first and see what happens. My second choice would be the puppy.

Anyone can be allergic to anything, so yes it is possible to be allergic to watermelon, why don't you stop eating watermelon and stop using the lotion and see what happens. I strongly suspect it is due to your new puppy. If you are still uncomfortable and unsure of what is causing your allergy, see an allergist for testing and it will determine what your allergies are. Better to investigate this now since you have only had the pup for a few weeks.

I used to be allergic to watermelon. However, I would break out in a rash within minutes of getting the juice on my skin and the rash would only last an hour or so. If you have a continuous itch, I would suspect the lotion.

Never heard of it, but u never u know. People are can be allergic to the weirdest things. In my opinion I would start with u are allergic to the puppy, next the lotion, and last would be the watermelon.

I am allergic to watermelon and walnuts and certain brands of raisins . so to anwser your >?s yeah I am allergic to water melon . good luck .
