8 1/2 mnths preggers. I have done abso nothing to my foot! Last wed it starting hurting and it hasnt stopped. I figured it was another "one of those pregnancy things" but I am concerned now. Let me expain the pain... It hurts on the top and botton of my foot when there is any pressure on it where my 3rd and 4th toe are. My toes DO NOT HURT. It's my foot in that area. There is no swelling no bruising no cuts scrapes NOTHING! It just hurts! And when i elevate it it starts to tingle but when its just on the floor when i am sitting it burns and tingles also. It hurts SO MUCH to walk on it. I told my OB/GYN to see if it was preg related and she said go to the ER asap thinking it was a blood clot! It's not so the Dr says b/c there are no major veins in ur foot and we did 3 x rays and nothing. It's obviously something bc my foot hurts so much! Hr gave me a foot bootie to wear and called it a day LOL! Thanks! Has anyone had these same probs or ne thing like it? I mean u think the ER would kno!

The ER Dr. said there was no sign of a blood clot due to there being no major veins in the foot and I had no signs in my leg such as redness or swelling... Just repeating what the ER Doc stated.

Do you retain alot of water weight with this pregnancy?, and when you elevate your feet they need to be higher than your chest. You should also use ICE PACKS when elevating, it really helps. You could always call Ask a Nurse. Good luck.

I believe the doctor what you may try soak your foot in a warm tub for 15-25 minutes see if that works or ask doctor if you can rub a pain reliever on it hope this helps

You have a Morton's neuroma, a compression of the nerves between your toes likely secondary to swelling in pregnancy. It is most common between the 3rd and 4th toe. If you press on the space between your toes and it increases your pain, then that is likely. A podiatrist can inject that area with local anesthetic and steroid to relieve the pain.

did you say there was no blood clot?
if there is none, the way you described your foot with "tingling and burning",;there may be an issue with your circulation.

But #1: be SURE there is no blood clot , even if it means a repeat exam
I am sure you know about the added blood supply of a pregnant woman

FYI,

SOFT TISSUE INJRIES WILL NEVER SHOW ON X-RAYS.
HAVEN'T YOU EVER SEEN THAT HUGE VEIN ON THE INSIDE OF OUR ANKLE (NEAR THE SURFACE OF THE SKIN), SURE LOOKS PRETTY MAJOR TO ME.
THIS MAY BE A FOOT BONE SPUR. BEST TO SEE A PODIATRIST.
