Yes, this is the dream we all share, do we not?
When deep and clear Love is present, we move with knowing, with awareness. The outcome is detected in advance based on our chosen course, and we Feel it when we sway off. To adjust, to make conscious choices that lead us to a chosen outcome, this then is avoiding the pain that is yet to come. Through awareness.
A difficult situation can have stunning and profound outcomes....it is the responsibility of the spiritualist to find the jewel. And as refinement is cultivated, our environment rises to meet us, and reflects our inner true loving nature, easily, beautifully...
it all works in concert together....
never give up your dreams ~ they must become your reality.....
namaste....

Thanks for the question. This is the real reason for this web site in my opinion. As a liberal Christian I feel that atheists face a dilemma about morals and ethics. While the Bible in my opinion is only a useful tool and not without flaws -- wisdom, morality and ethics can and is gleaned from it in a satisfactory manner. Without it, or other Holy Scripture I would feel lost. If there is no God then there could not be any absolute moral or ethical standards of behavior. Why? Well who would the authority on right thinking and right actions be? The most powerful entity in power? What if Adolf Hitler had managed to win WW2 and we were all under a NAZI government put in place by Hitler's regime? His dictates on right and wrong would be supreme? No thanks. Without God dilemmas of conscience would be the rule. Let us look at a hypothetical situation. Say a group of terrorists took over a government building and demanded the Governor of that state who was present slit his wife's throat, or they would unleash a biological toxin which would kill thousands. The situation is that if the Governor doesn't do as the terrorists demand then many more would die. From the atheist standpoint the Governor should kill his wife since it would save so many more lives. From the Christian standpoint the Governor would not be bound by any moral or ethical law to murder his own wife. The situation, and its consequences would be in the hands of the terrorists. The Governor would properly rely on his faith. If a Christian he would pray that God's will would be done, and that God would help. Regardless of the outcome the Christian stance would be clear from the outset.

You're not necessarily a dreamer, but I don't know if what you speak of is actually possible since all humans are imperfect. I don't know if always allowing love to be a compass would eliminate all guilt, but if you truly felt in your heart that what you were doing was right, you probably wouldn't feel any guilt. Interesting thought and yes it does sound lovely lol.

I believe it is always possible to use love as a compass to guide our actions, but with love comes other emotions that drive us. Jealousy, infatuation, possessiveness, a need to protect, blindness, happiness, joy, empathy, sympathy, grief. We are often fooled into believing that our love is the reason behind our actions when many of those reasons are more likely causal effects that may beattributed to the emotions that come of our love.
There is and never will be any such thing as 'no wrong actions'. It always depends on who is doing the judging; not the person him or herself. What we perceive as wrong may to someone else be absolutely right.
You are indeed a dreamer. As am I. And I am glad we've crossed paths. The more dreamers there are, the greater the likelihood of making those dreams reality. :-)

If that makes you a dreamer then you must be a dreamer to wake up. It's the only way to ((((live)))).
This is the first heretical notion which leads to G♥d.
Beware some well known people were killed for teaching this very thing, one of whom was Jesus. Some of the people that worship him don't believe he meant a word of it. They're mostly waiting around for his triumphant return in a Cosmic grudge match against Satan (who's of no importance in this but they insist on making him like a dark G♥d or something, pretty silly aren't they.)
G♥d put this idea into your mind because G♥d is l♥ve and wishes to be worshiped in truth (by experience of l♥ving). I'd say run with it.

You're a dreamer, like a thousand dreamers who have come before you. It's a very nice idea but it just can't happen in reality. People have tried. You will always do things that you feel bad about, that is unless you have no conscience. It's the state of our fallen human nature.

Love is an emotion and an action, it is not a conscience. There are times when we must follow the dictates of our conscience which tells us to act in the face of what our hearts are telling us to do. We must choose right over feeling.
Love is a very poor compass for such things.

Dream on, and I will dream along with you!
If we consider the truth that God is Love and Love is God, if we truly use that energy to guide our actions, then yes, indeed, eutopia abounds.
(I was going to add a "but," but I decided not to. I choose to end this year on a positive note!)

Love is a wonderful gage to go by in guiding our actions. Particularly in how we conduct ourselves during our interactions with others.
It can guide you in your daily walk, even in the workplace. You need to be assertive, but you do it in a way that is not rude, bragging, or keeping a record of wrongs.
By the way, in this context, we are talking about Agape, not romantic love. They are two very different types of love. Agape is to put others before yourself.
