Depending on how long ago it was when you were "little", his prediction could have been a result of watching or reading any number of science fiction books that spoke of a time when the government would use microchips to track the movements of all citizens. I'm in my 40s and I heard this prediction as a child...often tied to one of several memorable sci. fi. movies.
My dog was lo-jacked 10 years ago and the technology was available before it...it was only a matter of time before something thought to apply it to humans. Throughout history, identification of people has always been an issue. 2000 years ago (and before), the Roman Empire took a census of the population to collect identifying information from every citizen...driver license numbers, social security numbers, finger-print identification, retinal scans, micro-chips...seems like just the latest in a long line of methods that governments use to keep tabs on people. Watch out...time will come when "they" decide that all children need to be microchipped at birth (so we can protect them, of course)...and from there, it is only a matter of time before anyone will be able to do anything (buy, sell, go to school) without a chip. The US already requires me to obtain a social security number for my child...he doesn't legally exist without one...I can't file my taxes or enroll him in school without a SSN...what's next, a required chip?
This is prophecy, it is a simple matter of understanding the way the government thinks...big brother is watching and if we let them put microchips in our hand or forehead, they will do it!

They said the same thing about social security cards and numbers when they first came out.
There is a mention in Revelations discussing the end times where pepole will be given the mark of the beast.
Those who refuse the mark of the beast (those who are right with God) will be dut off from society and services.
The same thing was said during WWII about the way the Nazzis forced Jews to wear the star of David, the gays to wear the triangle, and others to wear a patch designating them as whatever group/race/religion etc they were.
In this case I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If the chip is placed in ur hand or forehead then it is the mark of the beast, Rev. 13:16, 17; 14:9, 11; 16:2; 20:4, look at these verses and decide for yourself on the marks, there are two marks that ppl will receive, the mark of God for His ppl and the mark of satan for those who reject Christ, which mark will u receive.

The mark of the beast in your forhead ?OK what's in your head your brain people need to use it .The mark of the beast is what you believe ,not some chip.In your hand it is the work you do ,don't help satan spread this stuff.If any one can show me in the bible where it say's anything about a chip,I would like to see it.Have the seal of GOD know the truth. Some people have suggested that they might be "The mark of the beast," if they are implanted in the hand or forehead.
Beyond that, nothing I have ever heard.
