Personally, I like tfal. Bought my first set 12 years ago and just replaced it this summer. Nothing, not even bbq, sticks to these! That being said, I also recommend one big steel pan that can go into the oven/broiler.

I love my Farberware. It's over 30 years old and still looks practically brand new...and I cook dinner most evenings, besides other meals. Farberware also has some not-stick pans that I've gotten over the years so I can use less oil, like when cooking eggs.

My nephew just got his first set of pots and pans and chose Farberware, because his grandmother used it as well as his parents and his aunts and uncles.

farberware or wolfgang puck ware is good my farberware is almost 35yrs old and looks good yet. stay away from aluminum cookware and all teflon .teflon comes off in microscopic bits and stays in the system for life yuck. the best overall is still cast iron ware.Griswald .wagner or Lodge brand.

I have Farberware and love it. I noticed some cooking shows used it so figured it must be pretty good. And I'm really happy with mine.

Top grade stainless steel, one non-stick and one very good wok, and you are good to go , I have command performance gold, and Wolfgang puck's cookware.
