No, if you are not physically or mentally able to make it thru basic training
They will give you an ELS entry level separation.
They are a little more lenient on the physical side and will assign you to the fat boy platoon, to exercise until you get up to speed.
After basic, when you go to your Tech School.
Things are a little more rigid.
Class's are broken down into blocks of instruction and you are given a test after each block.
To many failures and you will be assigned a new MOS and retrained into a new job thats less demanding.
Failing Tech school is the number one reason people do not get bonus's that were in their contract.
To many people think they should get their bonus, even though they didn't complete the training needed to qualify for the bonus.

When I was a Basic Training Company Commander, I kicked out quite a few for several reasons.
If its a training problem, we will send them to the next company to try that event. If they fail there, then they get chaptered out.
I remember one trainee that was trying very hard to qualify, but just could not do it. His score was just way to low and not showing improvement. We chaptered him out, but since he still wanted to serve his country, we wrote reccomendations for him to join the Navy. He was an excelent soldier, he just couldnt shoot.
Some got sent home after failing an event several times. This was usually Rifle Marksmanship of the PT test. Those events have a "hard score" standard.

It all depends on what training you're reffering to, air borne or ranger school, ect yeah you can and will get kicked out if you don't meet the standard. As far as Basic training, its almost impossible to get kicked out as long as you're willing to train. I've seen many soldiers just get their rifle qual and pt test get pencil whipped and just get pushed through. That only sets them up for failure later on down the road but thats the way they do it. As far as AIT if you can't meet the standard they'll give you a job that you're able to do, of course at this point the soldier doesn't have much choice of what they get for a mos.

it won't be pretty. They;'ll be all over you likeyuopu never believed possible. If that fail's, you'll be discharged, under less than honorable cuircumstances, and that will brand you a failure or screwup the rest of your life.
If you don't feel you can pass, your best bet is to stay out.

You get despatched to Fleet. you are able to reapply yet could desire to take 24 months. My suggestion while you're extremely stressful approximately that is settlement into the army in yet another activity field, the request a SEAL project. you will could desire to have extremely extreme numbers on your PST although. That way in case you fail out you would be despatched to training for the activity field you enlisted as. any different way around you get despatched Fleet without genuine say so.
