Code 3 at Walmart doesn't mean a thing. According to the Urban Legends pages, many people think it is amusing to send emails telling people that if you want to create chaos in a Walmart go up to an employee and say, "Code 3 in housewares." In fact, I saw this story on numerous blogs. However, according to many sources, Walmart uses colors, not numbers. Brown, blue, black and red are the highest alerts. If you know someone who works at a Walmart, the codes are said to be printed on the back of the ID tags.
On one site, I read that the stores implemented "Code Adam" after Adam Walsh allegedly went missing from one of their stores. I don't know if it is true, or not.

There's no such thing as a Code 3 at Walmart. Their codes are colors.

Go up to a worker and ask them. They'd have a better answer.

I don't know. It could be a customer accident or a shoplifter.
