Why can't a 17 year old have a corporate job?

I feel like teenagers have been understimated, people globalize when coming to situations involving teens, I know that i not only speak for myself but i speak for a lot of people my age, who have the maturity of someone older, i feel like this is racism, teenager like me have talent and are capable of doing things that would fit into a corporate job, so, why is this happening, why we have to take fast food jobs or that kind of jobs?

what i'm saying is that not all of us are like that, some of us try to get a fine education to live a good life

i finished high school at 16, im on college

Just look at the questions your age group is asking here. they can't deside what skirt or handbag to get without other people to tell them what to do/buy.

I suggest you speak with your academic advisor or school-to-career coordinator. Usually, high schools have a designated person to form relationships with local businesses so that students can participate in job-shadowing programs or internships with those businesses. These types of experiences are building blocks for the type of job you seem to be looking for.

If this is not the case at your school, be proactive and start learning how to put together a resume that will attract employers. If you don't have work experience, you can build off of academic achievements and projects, extra-curriculars, etc. The important thing to emphasize is your contributions and achievements. Not all companies are like that! My company hires high school seniors just like your age doing clerical jobs.
