I dont know a number, the US Army is about 650,000 active duty (not sure how big the Guard is anymore) only about 1/4th that number is in Iraq at a time, but a lot of those in Iraq are Marines, Air Force, Navy and National Guard.

Overall, the Active Duty Military is about 1.2 million (Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines). So that would make it about 1/8th of entire active force, mostly Army though.

The problem with rotations is that there is also Afganistan, Kosovo and Africa to think about also.

Add 1,200,000 to 96,000 (Reserves and Guard on active duty) together. Then subtract 160,000. That will give you a rough estimate. Exact figures may be classified.

First, looking on the information isn't a bad project. people who watch information or study newspapers are a minimum of attempting to stay in touch with the worldwide. What do you advise -- that they don't study newspapers, watch information on television, or pay attention to information on the radio, and then variety evaluations? My clarification for thinking we are dropping is that we are extremely not triumphing. 4 years after the president arrogantly declared "project achieved," Iraq is riddled with chaos and nowhere close to waiting to manage or defend itself efficiently. I heard Senator Richard Lugar, Republican Senator from Indiana and an expert on foreign places kin, say on a television software that he had individually counseled to the president early in 2007 that the president artwork harder on the political ingredient of Iraq on a similar time as the defense force answer replaced into being utilized so as that as quickly as Iraq replaced into militarily sturdy, the political shape could be in place too. despite the fact that, the president rejected his suggestion, finding out to emphasise the political be counted later. nicely, if the political shape isn't there while there is finally peace, no one would be waiting to manage efficiently, and the peace will cave in! and that i heard on Chris Matthews' weekend coach that the president lamented not following the Iraq study team's suggestions faster. lower back, a project the place the president not on time action. speaking of delays, the present troop surge replaced into mandatory years in the past while it could have been plenty greater rapid and valuable. yet no, the president waited. And the administration replaced into warned relating to the possibility of insurgents very early on yet brushed aside the theory. So time after time, the president acts first and thinks later. i'm not asserting there are not examples of victories, yet they are too small and too rare. meanwhile, Al Qaeda has set up shop and diverse religious factions attempt to kill one yet another. If it is your theory of fulfillment, i are not getting it.
