Is it possible to walk on the Great Wall of China?

Yes, you can walk on the great wall of china. The steps are very steep and very high though. Some parts of the wall though have become unsafe due to weathering, which is causing mass erosion of the stone. Also some parts do not allow tourist at all. Otherwise were there is a designated area that is safe, you can definitely walk the wall. Have fun if your going.

I walked on it about a month ago. The scenery was beautiful. Some parts that were made totally out of mud have been completely destroyed. As you know, it was built in segments at first and then joined together later. The part I visited that was farthest east from Beijing was in great shape including the turrets. I hope that you visit it. What a treasure it is!

Yes, but only in some areas. Much of the wall is not safe to walk on, just those parts that have been repaired and where they allow tourists.

Yes, only the portion near Beijing City is open, the rest of it are damaged by the natural force or by near development, For for that mile or so length of Great Wall near Beijing City is safe to walk on.

Yes. We went there last year when the temperature was freezing. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera. Up to you if you go up the right side or left. The right is not so steep. Good luck, have a good time.

n yes! u can definately walk on the great wall.......but it does need a lot energy cos it's kinda like a slope.

you can walk on it on some parts where it was renifoced most of it is really old and its starting to crumble so its not safe but u can go see it but not go on it
