Distilled spirits such as vodka, tequila, rum does not have a best before date, also most liquors, except cream liquors as Baileys, Carolans, etc (Creams have an expiration date).
As some say here wrongly, Distilled spirits (hard liquor) does not evolve in the bottle, it doesnt get better with time. The aging and evolving of some spirits was made before bottling and stopped there. Vodka does not get aging procees.
Wine doesnt have an expiration date, it is a "living" product, it can evolve to become a better wine or in bad storaging conditions it can evolve badly, this all depends on storaging, quality of the product, etc.
Oh and the coffe filters are not better than that used for making vodka so u cant upgrade it as they say, and the quality may depend mostly on the distilling proces rather than the filtering (less bad alcohols).

In the European Union, only alcoholic products with less than 10% alcohol content by volume are required to have best before dates, excluding wines that are naturally low in alcohol.

Because Vodka is distilled multiple times, there are very few unstable particles left in the liquid - it's mostly ethanol and water - so it will always have a long shelf life if it has been bottled in glass.

How long can you keep a bottle of vodka?
Maybe some things do last forever. Vodka, wonder drink that it is, can last indefinitely. Since liquor like whisky, Scotch and vodka are distilled, and already aged, they won't deteriorate like wine or beer. Just keep it away from bright light, and your vodka will keep forever.

no, wrong

vodka gets better with age, therefore there should be a best after date....

more expensive vodka is filtered more and thus, this further filtering takes longer, and the vodka ages.

good trick: you can filter cheap rot gut vodka with coffe filters and turn it into better quality, smoother vodka, however it does not change the taste only the smoothness

Like many best before dates, it is a ploy to ensure re-stocking is necessary and so more sales are generated

Very little now has permission to sit on the shelves for years for this reason, even if it can, like vinegar for example

I don't drink vodka, but my neighbor does.
He claims no. There is no best before date.
At least, I think that's what he said.
I'm not sure.
He hiccups a lot.
I know one thing. If Rudolph ever can't make
it for Christmas, my neighbor's next in line.

Like anyone who would actually go and buy a bottle of vodka would worry if it had a sell buy date! UNLESS... It had a sell by day date of four hours of course!!!!!!!!
