What you DON"T do?

Sin is usually associated with what some does "wrong".

What about things you do not do? do you consider this a "sin" also?

Christians can "think" one thing, but the Bible may say another. Which do you think is "correct"? It is better to see the scripture for yourself!

So read this, and decide for yourself:

James 4:17: "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."

And this verse pairs well with this one:

James 2:10: "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

-

The conclusion of these two verses is that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (as stated in Romans 3:23). Thus, in the sight of God, no one is declared good enough ("righteous") to go to heaven (Romans 3:10)!

We all stumble in many ways! (James 3:2)
And we all neglect the good we ought to do! (Luke 12:47)

Thus, we all sin by omission AND comission.

...and because "the wages of sin is death", thank God for His gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 6:23)

It's like this: If sin is the issue and I am being pointed at, I am guilty. I am not one of those Christians who nit pick about sin. I am a sinner after all, and I told God that the night of my conversion.

So yes, I would sin because I didn't do something, I'm sure. But I keep my eyes on Jesus and He wants me to trust Him. My sins are basically in a "Sea of Forgetfulness" because of faith in Christ. God does not remember my sins.

That's one reason why I say, "Glory to God."

I hate to break it to you yet Christians DO in actuality sin on a on an accepted basis foundation and rather in many circumstances too for many of them. What you have faith to be "Christian-like" (including "Christians do no longer devote sins, suitable?") is somewhat merely a crew of bull that by some skill got here out of the rumor that once you regulate right into a Christian you regulate into perfect because of the fact Jesus grew to become into perfect. And to be a follower of Jesus you may desire to be suitable. no longer real the least bit. real Christianity is determining which you're a sinner and continuously would be and that the only way you may shop your self out of hell is by using accepting the loose present of Jesus' demise on your place. while this present is known by using whoever, it does no longer advise which you regulate suitable then and there instantaneous into this holy church-loving gingham-dress wearing/ polo blouse and khaki wearing Bible toting guy or woman. people sin because of the fact this is of their nature. yet after accepting Jesus, each sin that has been or would be committed is taken away and that guy or woman is sinless in the EYES OF GOD. And now all Christianity suffers because of the fact of those decide on few that provide off concept that all and sundry Christians are sinless. (I.E. They in no way devote a sin... EVER.) yet as for Obama and calling him a terrorist... this is a sin to unfold fake rumors. besides the fact that this is only an opinion... And an extraordinarily VERY stupid one at that. do merely no longer pay attention to it.

Huh?

Not doing things can definately be a sin!

Knowing what is right and doing nothing is wrong.

I know and freely admit that I've done nothing and had that be a sin. For example, when I've known when to speak up and I did not. That is wrong.

Both are considered sins. In fact in one of our confession of sins we ask for forgiveness for things we did that we shouldn't have and things we didn't do that we should have.

Sins can be classified in two categories: commission and omission. Sins of commission are easier to recognize.

Definitely. The Church calls this "sins of omission."

Any time you see somebody in need and you don't help them to the best of your ability, that is a sin of omission.

Any time you have a chance to do something good, but because of laziness or fear or apathy, you don't -- that's a sin of omission.

Not helping the poor is a sin

Ezekiel 16:49
Behold this was the sin of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness... and she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

I never focus on SIN. God paid a tremendous price to put all my sins , and YOURS, out of His sight forever. FAITH thanks God for the sacrifice He made for ALL my sins (past, present AND future) on Calvary two thousand years ago.

God wants me to focus on walking in dependence upon HIS life within me. He wants me to STUDY so that I know who He has made me to BE in Christ. I have a brand new identity and He wants me to be confident of it.

God is no longer judging you or anyone else on the basis of their sins. He is looking to see if you believe Him when He says "your sins and lawless deeds I remember NO MORE".

Focus on the "SIN BEARER" and be thankful that all your sins were blotted out at the Cross. That is true faith.
