ok so my best friends found out that they liked eachother and they started going out. Now he says really really romantic things to her. My boyfriend never says anything romantic to me. How can i get him to be more romantic?

you can ask him but if it doesnt change.. he may have felt threatened by your asking.. it will come to him in time.. and the thing is he may bbe doing things that he finds romantic that you dont.. ask him cutely so whats the most romantic thing you think youve ever done for me.. have your own example ready so it can seem like an innocent comparison.. but you may be surprised at his answer

you can't. Sorry, you can't change someone. Either they got it or they don't . My husband doesn't have it either and at first it bothered me but with time it goes away. Now what Im saying is that it's not like there aren't times where he is a little romantic and it is nice. but some guys are constant romantics and that can get a little sickening. Otherwise just talk to him and ask him to try. Are you ever romantic torwards him? It does work both ways. Maybe if he sees how romantic you can be. he'll catch on and start being romantic himself. Plus he'd think that was really sexy if you took the bull by the horns and took charge.

you can't control or change anyone else's behavior. however, this is a perfect opportunity for you to learn something...don't compare your relationship to someone elses. it will only make you focus on the negative in your life, not the positive.
the fact that their relationship is new might play a factor into their level of romance or they may just be two different personalities than you and your bf. but, don't think you can change your bf (or husband later on). it will only cause you stress and frustration.
either realize the good in your bf and the other ways he shows you love or decide to look for someone else who is more romantic. realize that even romantic men have flaws. life isn't all about flowers and love notes. dependability, honesty, etc also play a very big role in a successful relationship.

Why does it matter? Is that the only way you can be happy? Unless you are in a movie you should be able to live a normal happy life without it. If you werent so impressionable then you wouldnt need you boyfriend to be romantic you would be able to love him just the way he is.

Tell him to ask on yahoo answers "How do I become more romantic" and ask him to try out some of the stuff people suggest.

Don't force him to be anything hes not. He will become romantic. Don't worry. The more time you guys spend alone the more he will become romantic.

Ok this is a crazy idea. but i think it might work. Make your boyfriend get jealous of sum1 else. For example you can ask one of your friends thats a guy to do nice things for you and be nice to you and in front of your boyfriend. Then your boyfriend might try to do better and PROBABLY he might be more romantic and loyal to you.

Well, there is always the minute chance that your boyfriend is romantically retarded..... But I am willing to bet that he probably just has yet to realize that romance is lacking. Try setting the standard and see if he measures up.
