im in middle school and 1 of my teachers has nick names for every1 mine is rice patty(dont ask) so this who i liked before but not really anymore started 2 whenever he sees me in the hallway he goes hey rice patty and puts his hands on my shoulders n stuff...but we're sorta friends but not really well...does this mean he likes me or is he just bein friendly

well, it could mean either. whats most important is not which it is so much that no matter which it is what he is doing to express his feelings doesnt seem to sit well with you. the very fact that you are asking this question speaks to your confusion and discomfort. Him just being friendly could lead to the other or if it is the other it could get worse so its best not to let him do this anymore. Do what is most comfortable for you and if he truly respects you and is your friend he will be good with it.

If this makes you uncomfortable you need to do something about it. At first just try giving off nonreseptive body cues. Arms crossed, standing at a distance etc. if he doesn't get the clue you will have to say something. Try " Mr. so and so it kind of makes me uncomfortable when you put your arm around me, I would prefer it if you didn't do this anymore."
If that doesn't work you need to tell an adult. Parent, other teacher, principal. Nobody has the right to touch you in any way (even if it's innocence) if it makes you uncomfortable.

There's nothing wrong with someone being friendly towards you, but if you're not comfortable of him touching you in a way that's inappropriate. Talk to your parents about this situation then they would deal with this in the Principal's Office, he could face disciplinary action he colud even lose his job.

Shoulder is neutural area. Don't get paranoid. Focus on what he says. If he starts talking funny stuff like parts of your body or certain place and acts you aren't comfortable with, tell another adult you trust. Now if the touching extends stroking or areas you aren't comfortable being touch, also tell someone.

you are in middle school so you are not very old right...and he is a teacher i bet he is just being nice so don't take it the wrong way yet.....now if he goes to touching you in other places you better just try and stay away from hI'm and report him to his boss and your parents....he will be in big trouble...do u understand what im getting at. if no send me an email

You never know, obviously he notices you, or he wouldn't remember your nickname or acknowledge you if he didn't like you at least a little bit. You never know with guys, it could just be a friendly gesture or maybe its more, time will tell. Take care
