He knows that we will sin sometimes, but He doesn't want us to sin. We have no excuse to sin, really, because the Holy Spirit can help us not to, if we simply ask Him, and mean it, which we should.

It is in our nature to rebel against authority even God's . Jesus knows man's nature and knows that even though we have been saved we still will sin until the old nature is completely replaced by the new. In the meantime we try to do what is right and when we sin the Holy Spirit evokes an attitude of repentance and we seek forgiveness and mercy from our Heavenly Father. As Christians we are not perfect but we are forgiven.

Sin shall not have dominion over us...if one is a believer and trusted in Christs death , burial and resurrection as the ONLY means by which we are reconciled to God.
You will note that it doesnt say, you wont ever sin again...It says that sin wont dominate your life any more. YOU will never be SINLESS, but you will SIN LESS the more you acknowledge what transpired on the Cross on your behalf.
The penalty and power of sin over you is broken. The PRESENCE of sin will always be with you because you are still in your sinful flesh. But God condemned your flesh, and now no longer sees you as in your flesh, but in His SON. You have a brand new IDENTITY...you are now IN CHRIST, and no longer IN ADAM.
You have been made a member of a NEW CREATION, which is called the church which is His Body.
Will you sin. Yes. Is Gods focus on the sin in a believers life today? NO. The sin issue was dealt with ONCE and for ALL at the Cross two thousand years ago. God will never again judge mankind on the basis of their sins, but on the basis of whether or not they believe in the performance of the SIN BEARER when he took their sins away at Calvary.
Remember, you will never be sinless. But as you learn more about GRACE and Gods plan and purpose for you as a member of His BODY (Romans thru Philemon), you WILL sin LESS.

you are born a sinner, and in Christ, you have imparted righteousness, from Christ, not anything you have done,
the truth is, you are a rotting corspe when it comes to being good. You have deceit, lies, murder, envy and every other horrible thing there.
It is the Holy Spirit, alive in you that keeps all that undercontrol. If you are familiar with what Jesus said in the gospels, you know that he holds everyone to a higher standard than the 10 commandments had.
God created us, and he knows we are unfit for anygood work, yet he offers us salvation if we will take accept it. It is a free gift to us.
The more you walk with Christ, the more sensative you become to your sin and the more it bothers you. Paul in romans chapters 6 through 8 deals with the dilema, I want to do right, but I don't do it. Who can save me from this?
It is a complex issue if you don't understand, God has to make provisions for men who are not perfect. That is where we have peace with God through Jesus Christ who paid the price for us.

Yes. We have the nature of it in us. We are sinners, therefore we sin.
What Jesus was saying is that we are not going to be governed by it. I can testify for that myself. I am a Bisexual person. God knows how I am. I have experienced sex with both sexes and have the unfortunate ability to have my mind wander when around other people. I am not so tempted when I am working for him. It's not that I planned it that way, it just came to be.
So I am kept from others by the nature of the work he has me doing. I am very happy with that.
Regardless of all that, I am still a sinner, but as I trust Him, He influences my life. I am too busy for any contact with others.

Yes, Adam and Eve sinned when they were in the Garden of Eden; so thereforth we were born into sin and we live in sin, but Thank God we can go to Jesus and repent.

It is know that we do, so he has at terrific injury to himself provided himself as the atoning sacrifice for the sins he knows we will commit anyway. That is love. All you need to do is ask for him to forgive you and he will come in and make less of a sinner of you. But you will always need his forgiveness as long as you are in this Adam-tainted flesh.

No. It's expected of us to know God and only with His help rise above sin.

Yes.
Why else would we need his salvation if we could be sinless? He also expects repentance and offers forgiveness.
If we did not sin then essentially there would be no need for him or his sacrifice.

yes, God knows that we still face temptations on a daily basis, and that we will sometimes stumble...
it's okay though, He cares about you and knows your difficulties. God expects us to make the effort to try not to sin, but he knows we cannot be perfect like him...
