I'm in Dubai right now, writing from the Le Meridien Hotel.

First question: do you realize what Dubai is like? Are you certain you want to work here? Dubai has many advantages, but it's also hot as hell. It was about 101F today, and the temperature gets even higher sometimes. (Luckily, almost every place is air conditioned)

I believe you only have to have a health test once you apply for the visa. While you are working for that company that will sponsor you, you can independently apply for a year long work visa.

Thousands of Indians are working in Dubai and UAE. All of them have gone there after obtaining a Work Visa or a family visa ( I mean housewives). It is the responsibility of the company sponsoring you to get you the visa for your travel to UAE. If the interview is already over and they have asked you to give the copies of the passport, then they will apply for the visa and it will be delivered in original to you or a copy of the same will be given to you. Normally the company sponsoring you will give you an air ticket for travel to Dubai.
See if your passport needs immigration clearance or not and if required apply to your passport office with a copy of the visa for immigration exemption. Alternatively, you can apply to the passport office with your educational certificate copy for exemption of immigration clearance. Fix up a date for travel, make the booking and go to the airport. Thats all.

Are you money hungry? Is that the only job you are able to get? People who go to work there usually just see $$ signs... Do you know how dangerous it is there. My husband former Navy Sailor has been there. Good luck, I hope it's worth it to you.
