In self-defense you might have to hurt or kill someone, especially if you were a soldier. Other than that, God would never tell you to hurt someone unprovoked. That is sin (Exodus 20, etc.). The Old Testament passages that commanded Israel to take the land of Canaan were meant for Israelites in that day. They do not apply to us. However, God did promise the Jews that land, so if they take it, they are simply taking what was promised to them by God. Before the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, if you said "Palestinian," people would automatically think "Jew." It makes sense because the Bible tells Jewish people to live in that land in the book of Numbers. It shouldn't surprise anyone that there were many Jews already in that land. Jews are still a large majority in Israel and by the way, U. S. citizens, Israel is the only democracy in that part of the world. It is surrounded by dictatorships. For that reason, we have good cause to support their existence. It's not a strictly religious issue.

First stop watching the demon cr*p... it dose not "strengthen" it weakens... For those of The True Christian Faith there is no question about obeying God in ALL things... I do not think he will pull an Abraham test on you... but he might... you will know your answer when it happens... you will be tested many times in The Faith... but never beyond what you can do...

No God would never ask you to hurt someone or kill someone close to you to prove your devotion or to do something drastic to prove your devotion. God is a loving God and he has given you the wisdom to make your own choices. He has also given you the knowledge and the within guidance that allows you to make your own decisions. If you hurt, killed or did something drastic, it would be made by you, yourself not by God.

This is the problem with over-religiosity. Of course you don't think God would tell you to kill someone, but if you became schizophrenic, you wouldn't necessarily be able to differentiate and next thing you know your drowning your children to save them from the demons. A non-religious family would hear such talk and get you the help you needed.

NO!!!!! God would NEVER ask you to hurt or kill anything or anyone...Thing is when you watch crap like this , the devil uses them to insert thoughts into your head...The worst thing you can do is watch this stuff. You ARE NOT strengthing your faith by watching this garbage. The devil is the prince of the AIR....airways, t.v. radio....If it were strengthing your faith , you wouldn't have to question if God would allow it or not, you'd already know...Devil equals confusion

If you are even entertaining the possibility that God would ask you to kill someone, you are in serious need of help from a psychiatrist.
I'm perfectly capable of comprehending the question, thank you very much. Whether you think God would ever do that or not, the fact that you are even asking it, as if there is even a remote possibility, is ludicrous.
This is a world where people get killed on a daily basis because somebody thought its what God would want.

GOD tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son.
This was to test his faith. It was not uncommon for pagans,
wanting prosperity. Just as we have abortionists today.
GOD allowed his only begotten Son to be crucified.
But murder is still against the 10 commandments.

No, God will never require you to jump through hoops to "prove" your devotion. What God requires of you is your faith and love, and that is enough.
