A lot of children don't get enough food, and in some places even starve to death. Other children have to work in sweat shops for 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 25 cents an hour. Some children, orphaned or abandoned, have to beg on the streets. Other children are repeatedly whipped with a belt by their fathers or step-fathers.

Many of these children won't go to heaven after they die, because they have a different religion from Christianity, and will never have a chance to accept Christ as their savior. But if God won't allow them into heaven, at least He might try to reduce the amount of pain and suffering they are experiencing now.

So could God do something to help these children if He wanted to?

1) He could but doesn't want to = Not worthy of worship

2) He can't = Not God

Your question is not about whether or not God can do something to help the suffering children, and whether or not he wants to.

Your question is about believing in God, because the truth is that many children do suffer horribly and believing in a loving God while that goes on is viewed by those who don't believe in God as illogical.

We are not God. But God Almighty lives and we are his children, no matter whether we are children who are accepted in the beloved, or whether or not we are the children upon whom the wrath of God still abides.

Believing in God does make changes in the world. For those who believe, we do those things that help and bless and encourage those around us when we can because we believe. There are good things that non-believers do also. But even if we believe our actions do not make all the suffering of all the little children stop. Believing does not make that happen. Believing is to know that there is a God. So, to disbelieve God because you see that believing in him doesn't make this suffering stop isn't a reason at all.

I believe God does help these children by putting it in people's hearts to start organizations and things of the sort for children in need. There are a couple organizations that feed hungry children with donations of $12-$24 a month. We can all do our part and help fund these types of organizations.. if we are children of God he will take care of us... And trying to get the word of God to these children is also a good idea. If they believe in Christ and worship him, I believe at least their hearts won't be so heavy with pain from their day-to-day lives because they will know they can always turn to God.

God has nothing to do with the suffering of children or anyone. Other people do. If you are so concerned about the suffering of children, contribute to UNICEF or some other relief foundation, join the Peace Corp, or advocate for child welfare here and abroad.

And don't be so concerned with and presumptuous about what is going to happen to everyone else when they die because they don't share your particular beliefs. Concern yourself with how you personally want to live and die and let other people do the same.

I'm proud of my hardships, it helps define me as a human being. I am also a fictional writer, and unless you want completely dull and pointless works of art, you'll vote to keep suffering alive and well. It keeps life interesting.

And as for the millions of starving children, we could have saved them 300 billion Iraqi war dollars ago. Not to mention a bank could do the same if it ever had a change of heart.

It's good that you can see the needs & injustice in the world.
Who told you they won't go to heaven? Only GOD knows that!
Our 'job/mission' is to help these children who suffer.
Remember: "Love GOD with your whole being, &
you neighbour as yourself." That includes telling them about Jesus.
GOD expects us to do something;-} we know HE wants it.
GOD has provided more than enough food for all of us.

I we all would open our hearts and listen to Him, then it would happen.

He COULD do it himself, but that would break his new promise to us. After Jesus' coming, God fully gave Man this earth, with the promise that we are to be it's caretaker. It is up to us to either make the Kingdom come or destroy it.
Of course God doesn't want anyone, especially the innocent, to suffer, but their souls are protected with Him, even if their bodies may be taken from them.

Peacetimewarrior nailed it. That fallacy is not true, and never was. In Acts it says that the Gospel went to the entire world. It has done so every generation since then.

"......and will never have a chance to accept Christ as their savior. "

This is not true of anyone anywhere in the world. Read Romans 1-2.

Pain is in the body/mind
God is in the heart
To live without pain, man must learn to live in the heart.
Arguing, searching, seeking, survival, are all minded pursuits.
