The Teaching is that any form of Life that has ever existed anywhere, still exists in the spirit world somewhere.

Where in the Bible does it say there were cave men or Neanderthals?
Those who lived before Jesus and obeyed the law of the Old Testament will be judged by that law.
After Christ died on the cross, the New Testament became law and Christians will be judged by that law.
So people from both eras will go to heaven, depending on their faithfulness and obedience to God who is the final judge.

This is the great flaw with religion.
You cannot believe in both religion and evolution.
If you do then you must believe that all living creatures, including bacteria, have a soul and go to heaven. This is because we have all evolved from the same place. If men have souls then every other living creature on the planet must have a soul too!
Bacteria going to heaven. Complete nonsense. Almost as stupid as men/women going to heaven!
