Gotta agree with Nightwind on this one. Most Gods will help their priests/worshipers even when it's not their usual "area of expertise." Ask for assistance from one of the Gods or Goddesses you commonly work with or at least from one that is in the same pantheon as the ones you work with.

Kali or Oba, both being goddesses of time and change, might be able to help you trace your steps to find where you might have lost the item.

Do you often ask complete strangers for favors? Ask one you have a relationship with. The gods are not in some sort of divine spice rack that you can just pull from as needed.

My suggestion would be the greek god hermes. Or, you could call on the catholic saint Anthony (i think that is the right one)
What I find best though is to make a servitor who's sole purpose is to find lost items.
