No, I think any religion that shuns questioning (or members or others who do) should be even that much more closely scrutinized by the proper authorities since that makes it seem very cult-ish.
I think I deserve the same amount of respect that I give and I also think that respect is earned - not by your beliefs, but by your behavior.

No and No. Even I question my beliefs... some of which I dropped since they didn't fit in with the new, more sound information I found, etc.... And I certainly don't think I deserve respect just because I believe in a particular thing. My personal beliefs don't earn me respect.... my actions are what will earn me respect (if they are worthy of respect).

No religion is above questioning, and no one deserves respect at all based on their beliefs.
True religion is how we demonstrate our love of God by showing respect to our neighbor.

my religion encourages questions
we are told only to accept what makes sense to us
I deserve respect as a human being , not based on my beliefs

Nobody deserves "extra" respect, but everyone deserves equal and reasonable respect.

Extra respect? No. Anyone can question anything they want about my religion, but most can't accept that they won't change my mind.

No, in fact it is the reverse of many religions. I know my god is real; I saw undeniable (to me) proof of his existence. I have been working since then to question and feel out what the tenets of a religion that follows him would be.
No, considering that I KNOW that my god exists, I do not have to validate his existence to anyone else. I feel any religion where they have to use force or threats to validate themselves "doth protest too much".

No - please question all aspects of my faith, and of my actions , etc. Hopefully I am able to be an average to good representative of my faith. (Please do not do this, as I really am not, and don't want the world to know - ok? Thanks.)
I deserve what respect I have earned. My faith better just be a paragraph on my resume, not my complete description of who I am, as it were.
