I have grounded the amp in the trunk and it doe's not work. I have tried connecting to pre existing bolts (cleaning the metal and all) I have alson tapped new holes for grounding, the trunk simply does NOT work as a ground. when I have it ground in the trunk the amp simply will not power on.

Try running a gound wire back to the battery negative post/terminal to eliminate any possiblity of a ground problem---otherwise, test for a good ground with a test light and connect accordingly. Make sure there are body grounds in the engine compartment.

if its touching wire to metal then it should work. ok just throwing it out there...did u check the fuses or it could be the amp it self..if u have warranty u should get tit checked out
