They tend to have self-righteous, arrogant attitudes that people generally do not appreciate. Many don't even realize how arrogant they are.

I like Christians, those who try to follow a Christ-like life. But Catholics, and any other organized religion that would try to corrupt the good works of Jesus, and the meaning of His life, can go far away and stay far away. Jesus did not brainwash his followers, he loved them and tried to teach an easy way to live and then live on after death. The entire basis of His curriculum, so to speak, was the idea that Man could be every bit as "Holy" as He was, by following a few very simple disciplines, or 'rules'. Love each other. Be kind to each other. Help each other. Teach each other the same things He taught. Realize Love is an energy that can grow and be used for amazing things.
But, no, human greed and lust for power had to ruin for us, corrupt the original message.
But I do like a good Christian...
Peace to you.

For alot of the same reasons Christians dont like Atheists. Plus everyone gets their news from shows like South Park and the Daily Show so noone really knows whats going on in the world. They think Christians are out to kill everyone and that missionaries are trying to brainwash and manipulate people. Personally if people want to be undeducated and ignorant about Christianity, its their choice and I have to respect their stupid-*** choices mostly because I am tired of hearing their wacked out perspective on Christianity.

i dont know why people dont like Christians. all we do is thank our loving God and Jesus for giving us everything we have, and try to do the right thing. Its our job to tell everyone about our religion so that everyone can go to heaven. anyways its not that hard to believe that there is a God... the Bible says alot of things that scientist are JUST now discovering these days, and the Bible was written WAAAAAAAAY back in the day! so therefore God is incredible and i dont know why so many people are against christians! =/

I am a Christian.

I think people do not understand the Bible. Often that includes Christians. Too often it even includes me.

Christians are certainly not perfect people. We still have times when we behave in a way that is displeasing to God. That is called sin. The thing we Christians have going for us in that when we ask for forgiveness, when we truly repent, God forgives us. That kind of forgiveness is available to everyone. All that is needed is to confess that Jesus is the Christ and is Lord of your life, and believe that God has raised Him from the dead.

My difficulty is with religious zealots (of any demomination). It is not about what they believe is truth, but about how everyone must view Jesus as God. Somehow Christians think that by shoving their perspective down someone's throat it makes them a religious martyr. In my opinion it makes them rude and close-minded.

Nothing in this world exists as an absolute.

I like Christians, many I actually love. Where did you get that idea? I don't share their religious beliefs and they don't care for my beliefs as an Atheist. But we don't beat each other up over it.

Because Christianity exposes sin.To use an analogy, people do not like flashlights in their face when they are asleep in the dark. The unsaved are in the dark, spiritually. When they see a Christian, they notice some light there exposing their sin(darkness).

Wake up Maggie I think I got something to say to you
Its late september and I really should be back at school
I know I keep you amused but I feel Im being used
Oh Maggie I couldnt have tried any more
You lured me away from home just to save you from being alone
You stole my heart and thats what really hurt

Sorry, but that song pops in my head everytime I hear the name Maggie.

I like Christian. I thought he did a really good job in "Batman Begins" and "American Psycho." "3:10 to Yuma" looks interesting, too. And I believe he played Jesus in a TV movie several years ago.

Whoever it is who doesn't like him probably thought Michael Keaton was a better Batman.
