actually this sounds like a good alternative to the syrup/butter! I just started baking a cake with an alternative recipe also, VERY easy! If you're trying to just lower calories a little and want something sweet take a box of cake mix, mix well with one can of diet soda, and you're all set to put it in the oven!

Minus the splenda, which is chemical garbage, it doesn't sound too bad. Despite splenda's many claims, it is an artificial toxin to the body. You would be better off making the recipe with a little agave nectar or honey instead.

Pretty healthy. There is cholesterol in the egg yolk, and you need to make sure that the wheat bread and peanut butter are free from high fructose corn syrup and transfat.

It sound wonderful!I use to take peanut butter and mix w syrup and lay on it.Thats wonderful also but has tons of sugar because of the syrup.

It depends on what makes you feel guilty. French toast is loaded with carbohydrates, so I wouldn't have it if I were on a low carb diet. But I'm not, so I eat it whenever I feel like it. :)
