I think it depends on the person and their situation. At one time, I would have said that my age (23) is too old to live with your parents, but I do right now.
The reason is that my now-ex-husband threw me and our 2-year-old out with no money and we had nowhere to go. We've been with my parents for 3 months. I'm working full-time and going to school part-time, and I'm hoping to move us out by January. (At the absolute latest.)

Well I thought I was too old to live with my parents when I was 19 so I moved out. But I have friends who are older and still live with them. It does depend on a lot of factors. If you're going to school full time then it may be easier to just live at home. It also depends on how independent you are and how comfortable you feel providing for yourself.

Varies for everyone. Years ago people would stay at home to help out their aged parents and the family unit was more of a bond. Nowadays however it appears that younger people are moving out to live independently earlier and the whole family unit seems to have taken on a new meaning. Many people stay at home later nowadays due to financial concerns, health of parent etc. So I guess what I'm saying is that there is no limit on when to leave the homestead, but some folks worry about how others may perceive their living arrangement.

18+ you have a choice to move out. If your in college then it would be school breaks, summer vacation, and working part time. If you had moved out, married, kids and marriage broke up one could move back home until your on your feet and no longer. There are some situations where the parents are elderly, sick, then sometimes a child may move back. To move out at a young age you need the following. Money saved for rent, food, utilities, phone. A car and insurance. A little nest egg in case you need it. A good reliable job. Do a audit of your income now, see where you stand. Make a plan, then go for it...

Well, I think the absolute latest you should live at home is after college. Once you graduate school for good, its time to move out. Although I think going away to school and living in a dorm is also a good idea. Basically, once college is over, get out of the house.

I think it depends. Any age that you shuold be able to take care of u\yourself as long as circumstances are normal. I would say once you head into your late 20's you should start preparing to leave the nest.

I think that its ok to live with your parents if you are still going to school. Maybe it would be ok to stay with them later on in life if you needed help with health or money (or if they did), but for a very short period of time.

You are too old once you graduate high-school. After that, you should be in college or military, or you should have a job that lets you take care of yourself.
