Is it true that if there is a draft and you are the only son you don't have to go to war. Is it still true if you have a son of your own or only if you don't have children.

Its ture, sort of. According to the old draft rules.

Its not just being an only son. If your father has a brother, and that brother has son's also (Same last name more or less), then you are not the last in a family line and could be drafted.

That's absolutely not true. If you're an only child and happen to fit the age requirements for the draft, you're getting drafted.

Viet Nam era vets could go, but not into a combat zone, if they were an only child. Because of the politically correct, families are loosing all their children. Husbands and wives are being sent into combat zones, leaving children as orphans. That needs to change! It's not ethical or moral.

Nobody can answer this question because there are no laws on how to implement a draft.

If there ever is a draft, the rules will be decided by Congress at that time.

False! At one time, survivng sons were kept out of combat, and to do that, you would have to have a brother who was killed in action.
Nice try, but forget it.
