Sure it's possible. It's impossible to know every aspect of Jesus' life. 2D

If Jesus have been married, the Bible could have instructed us so - or there could be some unambiguous assertion to that certainty. Scripture would not be thoroughly silent on such an significant undertaking. The Bible mentions Jesus’ mom, adoptive father, brothers, and sisters. Why could it forget to even point out the shown fact that Jesus had a spouse? people who have faith / instruct that Jesus exchange into married are doing so in an attempt to "humanize" Him, to make Him greater common - like each physique else. human beings merely do not prefer to have faith that Jesus exchange into God interior the flesh (John a million:a million,14; 10:30). So, they convey and have faith myths approximately Jesus being married, having infants, and being an common person. A secondary question could be, "would desire to Jesus Christ have been married?" there is not something sinful approximately being married. there is not something sinful approximately having sexual kinfolk in marriage. So, sure, Jesus would have been married and nonetheless be the sinless Lamb of God, the Savior of the international. on a similar time, there is not any reason Biblically that Christ could have married. that's not the element in this debate. people who have faith that Jesus exchange into married don't think that He exchange into sinless, or that He exchange into the Messiah. Getting married and having infants isn't why God sent Jesus. Mark 10:40 5 tells us why Jesus got here, "For even the Son of guy did not grow to be served, yet to serve, and to supply His existence as a ransom for many."

I would think it odd that Jesus did NOT marry, considering the subject matter of His teachings. In the good old repressive and oppressive days of the infant Catholic Church, the idea of a married Christ was not to be considered! Women were NOT to be given such stature, not in the Church, no way, uh-uh! But to think that Jesus, who taught during the prime days of His short life never married or had children is ludicrous.

Peace..

I say no and I'll tell you why. All of Jesus' life was a testament to how we as believers should live. We are called to follow His example. His steps were documented, from sleeping in the bottom of a boat to his prayer life to his conversation with the disciples and strangers. I dont believe that if Jesus had been married he or the entire Bible would have been SILENT to his marriage or at the very least, the ways of marriage. He would have given a whole book on how to deal with your wife or husband if he had an actual wife himself. What we have though is a handful of verses that address marriage and it gives us just enough to keep us turning to Christ for direction IN marriage...so He is never removed from it. Jesus was married to the Church only...and tells men likewise, to treat their wives as He treats the Church.

It was not possible. My post to another similar question:

Jesus was never married and did not have children. The reason being is that he came to this earth for a specific purpose-to die for our sins. If he were to come here with the knowledge that he would be leaving a wife and children behind, that would make him a sinner. If he was a sinner, he would not be perfect & blemish free, therefore he would not be fit to be anyone's savior. If it was ok for someone to be a sinner and still be a savior, then I can save you all!

Possible yes, probable no. The reason I say improbable is outlined in I Cor. 7: 32 -34.

"...An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs--how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world---how he can please his wife---and his interests are divided...".

If Jesus had chosen to marry, his loyalties would have been divided between his wife and God. Furthermore, he would have been "unequally yoked" because no woman on earth could have been his true equal. During his ministry (the last years of his life) no human wife would have been able to accept the lifestyle without at least one complaint or attempt to interfere that was significant enough for one of the eyewitnesses to mention.

...and doesn't the bible make it clear that when a man leaves his family to marry, he becomes "one with his wife". In John 10:30, Jesus said "I and the Father are one"...it wouldn't be possible for Jesus to be one with his father AND one with a wife.

One final piece of evidence that convinces me that he wouldn't have married is that Jesus repeatedly told us to follow his example. If he were married, he would have had the opportunity to illustrate by example, the way a man should treat his wife. Wouldn't he have told at least one story that illustrated how he avoided dividing his loyalty between his wife and his Father if only to show us the right way to do it ourselves?

Jesus was a Rabbi. Rabbis are allowed to marry, and in Jewish society a Rabbi would have been considered a "good catch". He was probably married.

Having said that, his marriage status was unknown. When Catholics began to tie Christianity together into their power structure, they made sure that there was no mention of his marriage status.

To be fair, it is also completely unimportant as to whether or not he was married.

I have seen both sides of the argument. First that the true church is his bride. The second is that in order for him to have lived the life of a worthy Jewish male in those times it was almost mandatory for him to be married. For myself I would be surprised if he was not married. However living a life of sexual purity may also been his plan all along. In the end it truly does not matter.

No. Jesus knew his mission and knew that he could not care for a family properly, and would not leave a widow and orphan in a society where such are at the bottom of the social strata.

Jesus made many references that the bride was the church, and he was the bridegroom.
