i believe in an afterlife, God, Jesus, and the Bible. but i also believe in what Buddha said even though he parallels to jesus. i think after reading the Bible jesus was a teacher of zen as well. i believe it is ok for people to be gay even though im not. i think it is ok to have seperate beliefs, that won't make you go to hell. i tink the main basis for my faith and thoughts are open mindness, open heart, do not judge, and just do what makes you happy. i think "curse words" are only actually curse words in what context you use them. i believe church is in yourself, which is why God refers to your body as you temple. i think it is more meaningful when you pray by yourself without being in front of everybody, which jesus says that he perfers when he talks about hypocracy. i hate hypocracy and with all my experiences that is what christianity ends up being about that . which for people to call themselves christians they need to follow all of Gods sayings just not what suits them.

You are the definition of a Pagan. Jesus was a one, too, if you've read what He taught. The Wiccans say: "Do what ye will; Harm none!"
Zen? Christian? "Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself." Hmm, yeah, your words lean toward the Pagan.
Peace to you!

You sound pretty Christian to me. Just more liberal or open minded than most. Buddha and other religious figures all said some true and wise things, there is nothing wrong with agreeing with them.

Some of the beliefs you mentioned are not very mainstream Christian, but I don't think they make you "unchristian" I don't know what else someone would call you. Sorry if you were looking for something else, but Christianity seems to be the main religion you are following, especially if you believe that Jesus is the son of God. If you just think he was just a good man or a wise teacher, than I don't know what someone would call you.

Yours is the only true religion -- the one that is right for YOU. All the arguing that goes on in here is from X telling Y "be my religion or *$)&^$(!"

As for contradictions, read the Bible several times and You will find contradictions, so don't quote the Bible to be judgmental about contradictions! Just ask me, and i'll quote enough contradictions to make Your head spin. --no, i won't, because i believe the Bible was not intended as a weapon.

Oops, i'm on a soapbox and wandered off the subject. Have You read the Gita? Good stuff. Hypocrital Christians are the loudest ones -- i'm Christian, but i'll take the Truth where i find it and make allowances for weakness and/or immaturity in the faith of others.

I have yet to see Kabbalah mentioned on these pages. Curious.

You are very ecumenical. You want everything to be true. The "jesus" you believe in is another "jesus".The bible warned this would happen. You obviously do not believe in the bible as the bible states that homosexuality is a sin,and that ONLY through Christ can we get to heaven.
The law of contradiction:2 opposite statements about the same thing cannot both be true

If you believe those things, then you don't believe the bible. The bible disagrees w/a lot of your thoughts. Just because some Christians are hypocrites, doesn't mean the bible is invalid. God saved us from our sins....we are sinful....hypocrites included!

Whatever you are, it's quite similar to me. But I see gays as sinners - just like everyone else. As long as they have that right RELATIONSHIP with God, none of that matters. Yes, buddhism and paganism have their similarities to true Christianity. So I'm going to take a leap and call you a Thinking Christian.

It's called taking whatever may be good from the Bible and disregarding the bad. Most likely what a true follower of Jesus might do.
