people are always talking about all the 'illegals' in their neighborhoods, but how do you know which immigrants are actually illegal? i doubt that they go around with t-shirts on that say, 'i'm an illegal immigrant', and i know there's no illegal immigrant registry that they sign up for when they get here. is the preferred method just to focus your hatred for illegal immigrants at people who you assume are illegal for whatever reason, or do you go up to them and ask them, first?
people come up with all of these statistics on illegal immigration- for example, i saw someone who said something like, 'i was waiting in line to see a doctor, and there was like 20 mexicans in front of me, and they say about half are illegal...' who's 'they', and where are these numbers coming from?
is the preferred method just to focus your hatred for illegal immigrants at people who you assume are illegal for whatever reason, or do you go up to them and ask them if they're illegal, first?

I look at how they live and the number of them living in a house, you know if you got 15 mexican males in a 2 bedroom house they're more than likely here illegally so i report them my next to oldest daughter has a friend who married one, then he deserted her and their baby now she's on welfare he was working for tyson foods, needless to say he is no longer here because i have the # on speed dial i report report and report so we can deport deport deport.

Walk into a room hold up a badge and yell "INS" the ones that run are most likely illegal and the ones that stay are most likely not. I think your question was more about racism than illegals though. If you follow the news you would find that wearing a t-shirt with "I'm illegal" is more common than you think. Now just for the record, I whole heatedly agree with legal immigration, this is a nation of immigrants (except of course Native Americans) but when you break the law to enter the country and make no effort to become legal or an "American" (learn English, pay taxes, apply for citizenship) then there is a problem and sadly most of the illegals in the US are from south of the border. And by the way do you know what happens if you get caught trying to enter Mexico's southern border illegally? You get shot!

You know they're "illegal" if their left sole is stamped with "illegal alien", okay so Im being sarcastic. There is no way to know if someone is illegal or legal just by looking at them. I think people just assume anyone who looks Hispanic and does not speak English well is illegal, when in fact they can be quite wrong. I am Mexican and my family is all legal, they may not speak the best English or look Caucasian but they are in fact legal. People just assume they may be illegal because they dont look "American". By American I mean Caucasian. And about the statistics question, I have one answer: "There are 3 kinds of Lies- Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics. -Mark Twain".

exactly. these people who rant about all the illegals they "see" are just showing how ignorant they are. how can you "See" that someone is illegal..you cant, therefore the only basis they are placing their claim on is the color of their skin. it is the most obvious form of racism. if they saw a blonde walking down the street, even if they spoke a different language they would not assume that this woman was illegal, but a tan woman with dark hair who spoke spanish..oh now thats an illegal...im so glad you brought this topic up because these people ranting are too stupid to notice that they are being completely and blatantly racist. but i notice, i notice every time i hear someone say, "yeah i was in line at the store and there was an illegal mexican in front of me"...i think, how?...how do you know this woman is illegal, did you see her cards, did you hear her say, i am illegal. no they didnt, they assumed because she was darker that she was illegal...some of these people have a complete lack of subtlety and itellegence.

A legal immigrant from Mexico (only) is a person of Hispanic decent that has a legal Mexican birth certificate. An illegal immingrant is the above who robs a convience market or steals a car and gets caught.

I don't know how anyone could tell except asking for papers...I speak spanish with my children and because we don't "look" hispanic people get confused as to what language are we speaking, because we don't look like we could speak spanish! It's kind of funny. We also speak perfect english, but I want my kids to learn spanish conversationally, so I speak in spanish to them all the time.

If you are hispanic you are illegal. That is how they base it. The other night I went to walmart with some kids from my apts. I took them to get ice cream at the mcdonalds. It was about 10 kids and we walked into the mcdonalds in my head i was thinking these people are staring. the kids werent loud or crazy just waiting in the line to tell the cashier what kind of ice cream they wanted and I kept getting looks. I knew right then and there that they were assuming the worst seeing me with all those kids. Made me laugh but I bet those same people were out saying oohh i saw this illegal at walmart with her 10 children. Now everytime I go everywhere and I see a white person who might be staring I say to myself they probably think I am illegal. I do want to know how people assume someone is illegal. I speak english but some of my family members dont and they are US citizens. I wonder how you decide who is illegal and who isnt.

My neighborhood is now mostly spanish speaking. I don't know what the quotas are for mexicans, but they could not have all been given permission to be here, and have all decided to live in my neighborhood. It has drastically happened in the last two years.

One thing that virtually all criminals have in common is that they try to conceal thier crimes. That does make it a little more difficult to identify them.

If it is some red skinned or with darker earth hues "being",you may tag them "illegal aliens",but if it is a white skinned human person, you may tag her "legal (european)american"???
Ask a native american what he knows about "American"man's Legality and you will hear the Truth about whom are the only illegals over these Lands.
And the whole World knows it too. They ain't smiling back.
