You hate it, I hate it, the illegals hate it.I'm talking decent illegals who just want better for their families here on this question. They don't want to leave their homes either. But we have major issues which our government has put into motion that they were warned about by economists would turn into a disaster.Without thinking of the consequences AGAIN.We entered into Trade Agreements that benefit the wealthy and large corporations. This has created a mass migration of Mexico's poorest.Thereby causing substantial strain on OUR systems and working class. To stop this once and for all with a permanant fix instead of the band aids we've previously applied such as the amnesty of '86 we need to address the real issues of WHY this has happened.Do you agree with this as a valid argument and path to end illegal immigration?

I think some of you misunderstood me when I mentioned the illegals don't want to leave their homes.I meant their homes in Mexico not here.Economic factors have forced them out of their homes.Wouldn't it be nice if they could be happy in their own country? That's what I'm talking about.

Micky I agree with you on NAFTA.It's caused many problems here and there.

You are correct DAR we weren't asked.Neither were the people of the other countries.I think if our countries would have put all on the table and asked it's citizens there would be no NAFTA nor an illegal immigrant problem.

Yes I hate it and I do agree that the trade agreements have played a major role in it. A fix needs to be found for all the reasons illegal immigration occurs. I think Nafta needs to go,we need to seriously punish those who hire the illegals and also give them no reason to come here with benefits etc. In the bigger picture, something also needs to change with the mexican government,a lot of pressure needs to be put on them. They have big money and it needs to be going to the people.

I don't believe that anyone likes the situation with illegal immigration, including all illegals. There needs to be solutions to the economic issues in all the countries involved.
The French solved their problem during the revolution against the rich and the politicians, guillotine, guillotine.
EAT THE RICH

The mass amounts we have now are due to the amnesty of '86- but obviously yes.. we need to address the issues.. - but I don't mean to seem rude but could care less about illegals not wanting to leave.. they purposely illegally entered here.. so when they get caught they have to go home..

Yes I do agree. The truth of the matter is exactly what a News Anchor said
" As long as you have a Mexican or people in El Salvador and Colombia making $5 a day and jobs for them in the United States in which they can make exactly the same amount of money in just 40 minutes or one hour, they're gonna keep on coming. So it has nothing to do with politics. It has nothing to do with the war against terrorism. It has everything to do with economics, with the law of supply and demand. As long as we have unemployed people in Latin America and jobs for them in the United States, they're going to keep on coming. So it has nothing to do with individuals. It has to do with both governments, the United States government and Mexican government. " -Jorge Ramos

And the only soultion is this
"Two things. We have to provide legal status to the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in this country. And also, there has to be an immigration agreement between Mexico and the United States. Everything part of comprehensive immigration reform, we need that right away. But nothing is happening in Washington. " Jorge Ramos

I think this is our only answer.

there is no such thing as illegal immigration. There is only breaking the law and sneaking in America. Has nothing to do with immigration. Birds migrate south for the winter. Illegals don't.

yes i agree completely we have mass poor fleeing not "entering illegaly" but fleeing seeking refuge from poverty, and what do us fat cat americans worry about OURSELVES!!!!! that is horrible. how about helpin our neighbors. we should help because we have the ability to and its the right thing to do. i dont know if the govt should do it or if us as citizens should do it but however it is done it has to be done. and the only reason why us americans are even recognizeing a problem is because its begining to effect us! think of all the other countries that need help too. lets start with mexico because it is the closest and work outward helping other countries. because we americans can be nice loveing and understanding too. thats a TRUE AMERICAN! not a selfish brat that crys when it has unexpected company.

YES I HATE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND I THINK THE SHOULD ALL BE SENT PACKING. HELL, I'LL EVEN CHIP IN FOR GAS TO SEND THEM HOME.

That said, I applaud LEGAL IMMIGRATION. I beleive that everyone has thr right to live a happy free life, but don't do it on MY tax dollar.

Come to this country LEGALLY, get a JOB, pay TAXES and provide for YOUR family YOURSELF, NOT with MY TAX DOLLARS from the GOVERNMENT!

I hate the crime and I hate the criminals. I have no respect nor sympathy for those who are too lazy and selfish to apply for an H-2B temporary worker visa. They don't respect us or our laws, so of COURSE I dislike illegal aliens. They aren't "immigrants" by the way. Immigrant is one of a legal status. They are aliens.

Of course it's quicker to just come on over the border. It's quicker to run that red light at the traffic stop too.

How is it that 'we' enter into those agreements any more than 'they' enter into those agreements?

No one asked me, I assure you.

I'm willing to work with this as a starting point, but I don't see the solution yet.

If you remove politics from the issue of illegal immigration, we can easily solve that problem.
