No. Mozilla will work just fine even if ie is just an unused program. You might consider downloading the ie tab, a firefox addon that will allow you to view pages as if in ie in case there's a website that only allows ie users to view it.

You cannot delete Internet Explorer unless you also remove the Operating System (e.g. Win XP or Win 2000 or Vista, etc). Remember the law suit from Netscape over the imbedding Internet Explorer in the operating system? Microsoft indicated that IE was integrated in the OS and removal is not feasible. Microsoft was successful in convincing the courts on this so you clearly cannot remove IE. You can delete the desk top icon if you want to.

No. Deleting IE is not a good idea. Just set firefox as your default browser and leave IE alone to gather dust.

No,you need IE because some websites require it.Some websites need active x controls which only IE can use.

Nope not at all. I've found that it's better to keep it. Some websites don't work with FireFox.
