Well, I wear glasses and don't think I'm scary! And since I actually started wearing a pair which don't automatically slide down my nose every time I look down, I don't peer at people over the top of them!
Besides, my eyesight is so bad without them, what could be scary about someone desperately trying to focus on something about two feet in front of them?!? Always struck me as looking rather silly.
Have to say that while I really like my current pair, I don't think I look attractive to men in them, though - no one's ever made a pass at me :( - unless, of course, I'm too short-sighted to notice?!?!

Hey! Well actually, I only wear my glasses for driving - they give me headaches if I wear them too long. And yeah I hate it when people look at you from the top of their glasses, I had a guy at work who constantly looked above his glasses and it was pretty creepy. I see your point - do you think I should ditch the glasses on my avator?

It's all in how they use them. Glasses are an accessory because they are used for more than just vision. I prefer the sexy look rather than the scary look, and yes, it's scary when people are driving while looking over the top of their glasses.

I personally wear glasses in think I look very attractive in them or least I've been told on numerous occasion. I never look above my glasses because it defeats the purpose of me wearing glasses.

What are you doing that would cause someone to look up over their glasses at you?
No, I am not afraid of women in glasses. I have worn glasses since I was 12. (I am much older now).

women scare me weather they wear glasses or not but i know exactly what you mean about the looking over the top like some kind of disapproving librarian
it doesn't scare me but it pisses me off because its like they're tryna put on some air of superiority and expect you to tremble at the sight of their seriousness

That shouldn't scare you. I can imagine that perhaps a teacher stared at you like that...I think that when people do that, it's a kind of power game...Ignore it..Just raise an eyebrow, it someone does that to you again.
