I mean seriously don't people realize the problems kids bring (financial, social, etc.) to your life? Are there people out there who live in their own little world and don't learn from other people's hardships? Does this just show that most kids are unplanned?

It shows that most parents are selfish and have no clue how to be parents. Being a parent means your life and love of self is over. For the rest of your days its all about your love for the child, and doing all for them.

Its priceless.

people make babies because they think its going to make them happy, and be what they want, they never consider that its about the child.

Even planned kids can have an affect on the most "perfect" of lives. Sometimes parents just need to vent to feel better but most people wouldn't change their life for anything. No I don't think they live in their own little world and they are well aware of the fact that they aren't the only ones with problems. Which is why they vent, to find other people going through similar things and together they all get through it. Yes kids can bring on things but they can be positive and negative. While they are expensive they are just so wonderful that it is all worth it. If i had to choose between being 100% healthy and rich or having my boys I would pick my boys everytime, no matter how mean they may get sometimes :-)

I take it that you don't have children or plan to (ever).
Some parents complain only because they need to vent to anyone who will listen. They may want some insight (help) or some reassurance that this is normal and it will get better.
Parents nowadays are more stressed than ever before(created by themselves). They want the perfect house, cars, furniture, vacations and perfect children. They are in too much debt, work too hard and then buy their children's happiness. When the child misbehaves it's not from the lack of gift, it's due to the lack of quality time and fun they miss the most. These are the parents who complain the most because they don't see what they are doing wrong.
Everyone complains about something, regardless of whether or not they have children.

we're all a little selfish, anybody who tells you that having kids makes you completely selfless is full of it. i love my son and would do anything for him, but yes, it's hard work! some days i hate the fact that i can't do the things i used to do, but all i have to do is see his little face and i'm ok. also, i disagree with the poster that said that having a kid means you lose your sense of self-love. i love myself more now that i have brought such a great little guy into the world. i'm proud of myself and his father for taking good care of him!

why do people complain? well, just because you know something is going to be tough doesn't mean that you can never voice frustration. also, no matter how many times someone tells you it's tough, you never really know until you have a baby. the hardest part for me is controlling my emotions, having my son has made me such a sappy wimp!

I planned for the expenses, planned for the time, I never did have a social life, so that wasn't disrupted. I just wasn't prepared for listening to Disney Pwincesses songs over and over. I wasn't prepared for my toddlers to have such strong opinions about fashion and accessories. I wasn't prepared for an early talker with lots of demands. I was not prepared for children who wake up screaming in the middle of the night because they forgot to take their socks off. I never imagined some of the things my kids could do to drive me so crazy! They really are hilarious, once I take the time to read this. What was I complaining about?

Planned or unplanned -if you have a child in your care you are a parent and that is your role in life.
People just naturally like to commiserate . Just because someone complains doesn't mean too much --- unless it is too excessive and /or too negative and angry.

Because no matter how much you want them, there are still days you wish you could just put them back.

Also, people complain about everything, their jobs, the weather.... How is complaining about your kids any different?

They complain because they don't know how to handle their children.....remember patience is a virtue.....We need to learn to be patient with our children and help them succeed in all aspects of their life. Children need to know that they are loved and not a burden..my mom used to tell me that she only loved babies and couldn't stand us because we were able to express our own opinion when things like this are said it makes the child feel insecure....So to wrap things up love your children don't complain and always remember they are a gift from God..

You should never say anything about tour children that you would not want someone else to say. My children have heard nothing but wonderful things about themselves. Can you imagine being a child and hearing the person who is supposed to love you the most say horrible things about you? Where are those children's "safe places?" If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. (Mother of four beautiful human beings)

Because people just like complaining. Doesn't matter about what, we all just do it.
Like you like to complain about how people don't realize the problems kids bring to their lives.
