I'm just asking because i may be a fluffy bunny, all i have ever read was the laws wiccans follow, such as never use magick when your angry, never magick a child, and these books contrasts the difference between REAL witches and Posers. I want to follow the rules so i don't break them, what morals they follow. I wanted to follow the others.

What's a fluffy bunny? I may be one. I'm not sure

In my opinion, a real witch who practices development of spirituality in addition to practicing magick would not use disrespectful terms such as "fluffy bunny". You can't come to a snide conclusion about someone based on their looks or books - those are not accurate indicators of a person's level of spiritual growth, knowledge or wisdom. I find it hateful and high-schoolish. I don't happen to agree with everything SilverRavenWolf says, but I have found some of her writing very helpful. And why denigrate someone because they like to focus on the positive? The negative stuff will cross their path sooner or later. I see no reason to insult someone because they haven't been raped or molested yet. I think some people like to look down at positive people because it makes them feel like they are wise or experienced, which I say is phooey. If you hear someone call themself Wiccan/Witch and they say something ignorant, you can choose to start a respectful intellectual conversation. And who knows? YOU might learn something you didn't know, or realize you didn't hear the entire conversation, or otherwise discover your snotty judgment of them was wrong. Or discover they can use some schooling, in which case you have an opportunity to teach them so that they aren't so ignorant. Each of us at some point in our lives reached out for help. Sometimes we were lucky and found some help; many times not. Aren't we all here to help each other? I believe so. Let's bring the spirituality back to the Craft! Sweetie, I wish you luck and love and light, and I found your question humble and respectful. Don't be afraid to state your opinions or stay positive! Hugs all!

The fact that you're concerned you might be one pretty much rules you out as one. Fluffies are lazy and deliberately ignorant. They aren't interested in study or practice or introspection or tough questions. They want some quick books or websites to spoonfeed them beliefs along with "mad magickal skillz." They refuse to read further because it might contradict what they've convinced themselves of. So while one side can give a lengthy and footnoted argument on how 9 million witches did not die in the Burning Times, the fluufy thinks "Well, Ravenwolf says so, so you're an idiot," is an appropriate counter-argument. ("White Christian historians just want you to believe that" is another popular fluffy counter-argument)

People get information wrong. That's a part of being human. Fluffies don't care. The rest of us actually strive to get the information right and therefore consider counter-arguments and are willing to change our minds when new evidence is presented.

Fluffies are frequently into Wicca for show. They think Wicca is cool. They think expensive wands will make them better Wiccans. Often they're trying to piss off their parents or society. They advertise their Wiccaness and then scream persecution when they're told they're annoying.

As an aside, there are no general Wiccan laws. Various groups have their own rules, and various authors have offered up their own ideas on the matter, but there is no rule that all Wiccans accept as law. Wicca teaches you to be resonsible for your actions, which means thinking your actions through. Rigid laws push the responsibility onto other people, because you can say "Well, the rules said I had to do that, so I did." People become focused on not breaking the rules, when they should be focused on behaving ethically, and the two are not identical.

I would say that "Never use magic when you're angry" is sound advice, but its not a rule. I've never even heard of "never magick a child" except in the last few days on R&S. A lot of people believe its very rude to work magic on anyone without their permission, regardless of age.

A fluffy bunny is a person who thinks that because they choose to call themselves witches or Wiccans (to all who criticize me, I DO know that they're different) that they have special powers. They believe that they have powers that are ridiculous and break the laws of nature. They don't know what real magic is and instead believe in hollywood magic. Dabblers is another term for them. These are the Wiccans who are Wiccans just to show off. A great deal of them follow the original fluffy bunny herself, Silver Ravenwolf. New Wiccans or uninitiated Wiccans (I count self-initiated as initiated by the way. Solitary Wiccans are still Wiccans) aren't necessarily fluffy. From what you've described, you don't sound fluffy, you simply sound new to the craft. Welcome sister, and may the light and peace of our Lady and Lord always guide you. Blessed be. )O(

I'd have to agree with the general consensus. And I'm gonna add my two cents to the mix (just cuz).

A "fluffy bunny" is one of those who refuses to acknowledge that magick has a dark side. With life there is death, with light there is dark. No, it's not "black" magick (as magick has no color), but you can't have love without indifference (because love and hate are part of the same emotion). Someone who ONLY follows the teachings of light without accepting that anger and frustration are part of the same cycle.

Goddess can cause a flood that destroys all in its path, and then from the flood give silt that is so rich in life that new life can flourish.

Fluff Bunny:
A so-called Pagan, Witch or Wiccan whose practice is all fluff, no real substance, no real study, just read a book and follow what it tells them.

Fluff Bunnies usually think it's jewelry, clothes and an acute pursecution complex that makes them a Pagan/Witch/Wiccan.

Fluff Bunnies usually gravitate towards "feel good" or "do it yourself" books, and seem to think that they need to be either all goodness and light or all darkness and shadowy.

Real Pagans, Witches and Wiccan realize that life is a balancing act, not just one sided.

Someone who doesn't think for themselves, who takes what they read in one or two books and determines that's "what it is" and whoever disagrees with them is wrong "Because Silver Ravenwolf says so".

Also someone who is only looking at the "light and fluffy and magical" side and who refuses to recognize that it's about BALANCE, and that not everything is all "nice and light and fluffy and sparkles and rainbows" - that there is a dark (but not necessarily evil) side to nature, as well. Death is a part of the cycle that must be recognized and acknowledged.

Basically someone who willfully refuses to learn.

fluffy bunnies are people who are so wrapped up in the "hype" of witch craft and the "magic" of it that they don't understand that the RELIGION of it is what's important.
