Budgie Smugglers. Gross. My kids run and hide when they see a guy wearing them on the beach. Also called speedos, cossies, swimmers, skungies.

Boardies are much better.

The budgerigar is not a tropical bird but a small parrot found throughout inland Australia. It is common in many areas and flocks can be quite large. It is probably the most popular cage bird in the world and its name is usually shortened to "budgie". For some unknown reason, the USA calls them "parakeets".
