my mom told me I was half cherokee indian and half african american but I don't know for sure. she also said my real dad is full cherokee indian.

There are DNA tests that can give you some information on your family history. I don't know how specific.

They don't use blood tests for anything like this anymore. It usually requires just a swab of the cheek.

Put FamilyTreeDNA in your Search Engine and check it out. You might call the people and find out what it can tell you.,

Y DNA is passed solely from father to son

Mitochondrial DNA is passed from mother to both sons and daughters but only the daughters pass it on to their children.

Autosomal is what most of your DNA is. you get it 50-50 from both parents. It is the only DNA that can prove paternity of a female.

i don't think a blood test will tell you were you came from.
