Lots of choices.....
1) M-9- NOT enough stopping power. Bring back the .45.
2) PEWS- Never worked that well to start with.
3) CLASS A's- Huge waste of taxpayers money. Should only be issued to embassy personnel and others who circulate in more formal channels.
4) The ACU- What the heck does it blend in with? The Marines and the Canadian Army got it right.
5) The friggin beret- USELESS!! Only good for recruiting posters! Give the soldiers something that is FUNCTIONAL like the patrol cap or boonie hat.

All this equipement should have been replaced 20 years ago.

The Humvee - In a war environment littered with mines, booby traps and hidden bombs, its protection is woefully inadequate to the point of it being almost criminal. To top it off, its ability to resist small arms fire is unreliable.

Replace it with Bushmaster IMVs or any other decent equivalent. Land Rovers would be more practical for the personal transport role.

People...we already know that they are high maintenance and far to expensive to replace, they break far to easy, and when they are damaged often are un-fixable. Take them out of the equation and the military would run a lot smoother, wars would be shorter and often quite hard to start if the one major problem was removed...people

Decommission Humvee.
Instead, buy BTR-80 license. With GM engine it will be just perfect.
It's lighter than Bradley, can swim, has better IED protection.
