Is my ex scared?

was with this guy for 8 months and it was a very serious relationship. We met at wotk and only knew eachother as workers and there was that "spark". After only 4 months knowing eachother we decided to go out, and we werent friends to begin with. Hes very sensitive and thoughtful and it was love at very first sight. We werent even friends to begin with and we got attached very quickly. I heard he had a very bad past and his friends, family and him kept telling me I was the only chick who treated him right(the others were verbal abuse and hes been hurt so bad all his life)then he breaks up with me, saying hes "confused, "not ready" "needs time to think" its you its not me" and what confused me the most is when he said "i cant show feelings, im emotionally muted"...I know hes an emotional wreck, and this is sooo confusing i dunno where to start. refuse to believe were not meant. Im also confused if hes using me as plan B saying we can maybe date in the futur n be friends for a while...:S

-we were also sexually active for 5 months
-he got a rebound chick and they didnt last for 3 weeks
-I know your going to tell me to move on, but honestly, i still cry myself to sleep every night and hes all and the ONLY thing i think about. hes like permenantly locked in my mind
-he said his past was bad until he met me

-i do want him back, i just dont know what the problem is, since im such a comittment keeper and i always always keep my word, i showed him what love was.

You were meant to be together for a period of time so that you could show him that a girl can treat him nicely. Now he needs time to learn other things. Move away from the physical and just be his friend if he needs you. Remember the great healer is time.
