I was recently set up with a guy and met up with him last weekend. It seemed like we had a great time together. He called me the next day, but I was busy and had to call him back. I left a message on his phone, but he never returned the call. He has, however, been sending me text messages everyday, telling me that he's thinking about me and hoping I'm having a good day. I'm not sure if it's that he's too busy to call or what the deal is. If he's not interested in talking to me why does he keep sending me texts?

It could be that he's shy on the phone.
Or maybe he's a player...
Also, he could be really busy and not have time to talk on the phone during the day.
Who knows? Wait it out and see if he takes more initiative to get to know you.

Some people just like to send text messages instead of calling. Maybe he has unlimited text messaging. I would not worry too much about it.
Why don't you ask him whats up. Ask him if he is too busy to call you or if he is trying to save phone minutes!!
If it continued without a good explanation, I would question if he has another girl on the side.

Men in general find it difficult to talk, and there is an awful lot of pressure on guys to make the first move in relationships, all men on earth must of thought it was a god send when text messages were invented!! He likes you, thats for sure! Maybe just a little shy and finding that texting is an easier option.

he probably did want to talk to u, but when u didn't pick up, it kind of hurt him a little. that's probably y he only texts u. i know it's easier to text than call someone, that' s for sure....
he probably feels like u don't really like him and doesn't wanna look like an idiot if u reject right there on the phone. it hurts more if u hear their voice than if u just stop texting.
plus, texting someone can sometimes feel "safe". u don't have to confront them head on (which i know people don't like to do).
try giving him a call instead of him first. he might get his confidence back to call u more often again. and next time, try to pick up, but if u can't, leave a message just for him if he reaches the answering machine ;)
try setting up a date when u guys can meet up again. if u want this relationship to progress, than u'll have to see each other in person more often. ^^

it's called he doesn't have the balls to call you! a man is never too busy to call you if he is interested in you. I don't get this new generation of guys who Text message before they even ever call you. I hate it with a passion. If a guy text messages me before he ever even calls me, It's over before it has begun. I want to date someone who isn't afraid to take a chance. If a man is really into you he will call you no matter what. The last time I was with a man who only TM me, well he was just my lover. And he wasn't even that good of a lover. Date someone who isn't afraid to talk to you, otherwise you're just wasting your time.

Let's face it, in the end girls are the more social creatures when it comes to men and women. He's not a loser, a player or a jerk. He just doesn't like talking on the phone. It's the same for me, I'll talk on the phone...granted, but I don't like doing it. I socialize with alot of people I don't even know and some of these women are very attractive. Talking on the phone is just a complete hassle for some of us guys, go meet him and see what's up.

He might just like texting better. I personaly don't like talking on the phone but I don't have a problem texting at all. So I wouldn't take it as he isn't into you. I would try to see him again and then judge if he is or not.
If he is telling you he hopes your having a good day, in my opinion he is at least interested.

Man I'm sorry... He should want to help his child, but unfortunately there are laws against "harassment" even though I completely understand why your upset. Just be careful about it and if he's not wheelchair bound then he needs to get off his butt and give u a hand... And it would give him time around his kid. Goodluck hope it works out. :)

Guys hate being on the phone. We dont want to spend two hours on the phone talking about our feelings. Text messaging is best, you know hisr there and we dont have to pretend to be interested in what you did all day. We got better things to do then yap.
