How can a person get a car if they can't pay cash for it (meaning they need a payment), they can't get financed because they don't work a full-time job because they are a full time student. They also cannot get a co-signer because people are dumb.

Any advice I need a car by next week. A nice one.

And when considering milage on a car...How much is too much?

Thanks for your time and help :)

There isn't much you can do yet. I would suggest going to your bank and getting a secured Visa and talk to them about programs they may have available to help you start building some credit.

Without credit or income, there is little chance you would get approved for an auto loan. In the mean time, you can do the public transportation idea or even purchase an inexpensive car to use while you finish college and establish some credit.

Credit is a catch-22 because they won't give you credit unless you have credit. Good Luck and I hope this helps you!

If you have no credit or poor credit, your best bet is public transportation. You'll save money in the long run anyway. If you can't work full time hours you wouldn't be able to afford payments on a car for the next 2-4 years, and the car you'd be able to afford probably won't be worth the large percentage of your paycheck devoted to it or the huge interest rate anyway. Granted I don't know what you make, but that's my advice.

If your neighbor comes to you and says he needs to borrow $20,000 for a car for his son, will you give it to him? You are saying that people are dumb for not cosigning. I say they are smart, 'cause if you don't pay your bill, they are going to be harassed. Get a part-time job, sell stuff on e-bay, cut grass, save money and buy a car with cash.

Not much you can do in this situation apart from borrowing or renting a car.

You could put it on a credit card if your credit limit is high enough, but you would be paying exorbitant interest rates.
