3 years ago i got breathalised early in the morning and was over the limit from the night before, i had clean license prior to that for 30 years, when will it be possible for me to hire a car

Hi,
It will depend if you have a licence back!.
if you do, it will depend on the hire company you are using and the insurance you are using (theres or yours).
So if you have a valid licience and using you own car insurance then it shouldnt be a problem, but some firms state you must have a clean licience before they let you have one of there vehicles.

It depends on how long your ban was for. If it has now expired you should apply to DVLC for your licence to be returned. Hiring a car is dependent on the hire company and their insurers.

You shouldent be allowed back on the road full stop. If your gona be driving the following day dont drink, Go drinking on a friday night.
