2008 will mark 50 year of the Daytona 500. Tell me which is one your favorite and why. I know some are going to say 1998 when Dale Sr. won. Let put that one aside. Pick another one please.

1976 where David Pearson and Richard Petty were beating and banging on each other. Right before the finish line they wrecked and the King's car died about 30 feet or so short. The Silver Fox limped across the finish line for the win. Another great one was where they had the big Allison family/Cale Yarborough fight in the infield after the end of the race. Bobby jumped in and the only thing he can remember was Cale's FACE hitting his fist over and over. Too funny.

All the ones Jeff Gordon won.

My favorite Daytona race though is when Jr. won the Pepsi 400 after Sr. passed away.

After 98, I would have to say 2002.

Those around then will remember: Sterling, get Back in the Car!

As much as I like the classics, this year's race was the best.

Very, very close finish with all hell breaking loose behind them. Won't ever forget about that.
